PM Youth Laptop Scheme | 60000 Internships and 100000 Laptops for Students


 Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Mr Ahsan Iqbal announced on Friday that the government has launched an internship programme for young talent of country under which 60,000 young graduates from throughout the country will able to get paid internships. In a statement, Mr Ahsan Iqbal also offered scholarships to those students who manage to secure admissions in the top 25 universities of the world. He also added that 100,000 laptops will be provided to university students to make them digitally empowered. Last month, Mr Ahsan Iqbal announced providing 20,000 scholarships to unemployed graduates of the country.

 Ahsan Iqbal also announced that scholarships will be awarded to the students of far-flung areas of the country under Youth Development Initiatives (YDI), lately  launched by Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr Shehbaz Sharif. Previously in December 2022, SAPM on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja announced that the government has decided to restore Prime Minister Laptop Scheme and other schemes under Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP).




PM Laptop Scheme 2023:-

 The advertisement comes after the federal government of Pakistan announced to resume its landmark Prime Minister Laptop Scheme under the Youth Development Initiatives. According to HEC sources, a budget of Rs10bn was allocated for the scheme and laptops will be handed over to students of BS, Masters, MPhil, PhD, Undergraduate.

 For this purpose, the government also established a commission under the supervision of the Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) Dr Mukhtar Ahmad which will finalize all the matters regarding criteria for scheme and others.
